I LOVED Wegesegum!! It was the very first summer camp I ever went to. I was 12 and it was 1979. Kinda scary at first but then loved it after 2 days. Not sure when the church took over and not sure who owned it but when I was there it was run by The Blue Angels, police motorcycle people. Does Indian Pete still make an appearance at the bonfires? His name is probably Native Pete now, lol. I had some of the best times in my life there, wish I could remember it all. I was in Chipman today and saw the sign and me and my friend went in to just look around, wow, what a feeling!!! All the cabins are the same, tried to find my name somewhere but couldn't remember what one I was in, but did see a few people's names I knew. The Same dining Hall but I thought there was a deck on the dining hall in the front, but maybe not. The dock has been updated a bit. A lot of new stuff, like the swimming pool, our swimming pool was the lake! lol. A volley ball area, used to have 2 basketball hoops there and that is it. I noticed a brand new building (trailer) nice. Walked around a bit and just a nice warm feeling came over me, awesome. I imagine it is private property,but just wanted to look around, that's all. Too bad there isn't directory to find people registered there before 2010, be cool to see who else was there with me. I knew people who have gone there from 77-82. If you ever hear of anyone with a list of people that would be cool. If you do have old, old lists I would gladly volunteer my time to add them all to your site. Thanks for the memories!!
