WELCOME TO CAMP WEGESEGUM!
Nestled on the bend of the Salmon River in Chipman, New Brunswick, Camp Wegesegum has been providing Christian camping experiences to youth in the Maritimes since 1923. Our unique site, held in trust by the Fundy St. Lawrence Dawning Waters Regional Council of the United Church of Canada and the Canadian Baptists of Atlantic Canada, offers breathtaking scenery, peaceful reflection in our Chapel in the Pines, and a history of Christian community that continues to inspire campers to grow in faith, friendship, and personal confidence.
At Camp Wegesegum, we blend this rich heritage with dynamic, engaging programs designed for every age. From adventure-filled day camps and canoe trips to all-girls camps, leadership training, and teen co-ed programs, campers explore, play, and learn in a safe, nurturing environment.
Our programming is developed and overseen by a dedicated Board of Directors, made up of representatives from the United Church, the Baptist Convention, and alumni. This team ensures that today’s campers experience the same love, respect, and acceptance cherished by generations past, while creating meaningful, modern camp experiences that help campers grow spiritually, socially, and personally.
At Wegesegum, camp is more than a week away—it’s a place to belong, discover, and thrive.
