Junior Co-Ed Camp is a fun-filled week of classic Camp Wegesegum activities, designed to help campers feel safe, supported, and excited from the moment they arrive. Campers stay overnight with their cabinmates, build friendships, and discover what makes Wegesegum such a special place.
Behind the scenes, we put an incredible amount of time and care into training our staff and volunteers. Our counselors are thoughtfully selected, well-prepared, and supported throughout the summer. They receive training in camper care, communication, safety, and leadership—so they’re ready for both the fun moments and the challenging ones.
Camp Wegesegum is guided by a dedicated board and leadership team with years of combined camp experience. Many of our leaders and volunteers were campers and counselors themselves, and they understand just how meaningful—and important—this experience is for families.
For campers, this week builds confidence, independence, and a sense of belonging. For parents, it means knowing your child is growing in a place that values safety, care, and community as much as fun.
