The applicants for the position of lifeguard are required to
have the following:
National Life Saving certificate, Bronze Cross; waterfront certificate,
First Aid, CPR and proof of current certifications
Pool maintenance skills including water testing, skimming, vacuuming,
removal of debris and security of pool and equipment.
 Waterfront
training
Assertiveness skills
Leadership skills
Be experienced with working with children
Other duties:
- Maintain first aid station with supplies and equipment
- Secure the pool area when not in use
- Keep records of all injuries incurred , in or around the poo,
or waterfront.
- Design testing to identify non-swimmers
- Assist with camp duties as assigned
- To participate in all camp activities, in particular meals,
meetings and evening activities, as time allows.
